Essential Oils & Ayurveda: Ancient Wisdom For Modern Living
Ayurveda is the oldest system of natural medicine as we know it. And the principles of Ayurveda can provide deep insights to help us understand and prescribe the use of essential oils in modern aromatherapy.
Ayus meaning "life" or "life" and "full knowledge" Veda means. Thus Ayurveda is the complete knowledge about life, and health and how to maintain it.
The central principle of Ayurveda is that good health is a natural state of life - a state of equilibrium. So health is impaired when imbalances accumulate. Therefore, it is to detect the early accumulation of imbalances in the system, and avoid becoming the symptoms using a variety of methods. Thus, Ayurveda is primarily preventive in their perspective.
One method is through massage, which is highly valued in Ayurveda. Massage is recommended in terms of daily self-massage (you can try a self-massage with sesame oil, natural hot every morning before taking a shower, a benefit that people notice massive continue throughout the day, especially if they suffer from poor circulation ), and macerated using oils in specific treatment regimens.
This is very similar in outlook and approach of our approach of aromatherapy, which uses essential oils blended into a "carrier oil (vegetable oil), so let's see what our modern understanding can learn from the old approach.
According to Ayurveda there are three principles (doshas) operating in the physiology and Nature: vata, pitta and kapha.
Vata governs the nervous system function, and is fast, light, cold, rough, moving. People who have a strong vata constitution tend to walk quickly, talk quickly, quickly hear (so it can be interrupted before you finish your sentence). They tend to be thin construction, often very bright and alert. When out of balance, this can lead to anxiety, worry, restlessness, insomnia, and also my hands and cold feet. They tend to dry hair and dry skin.
Pitta is hot and strong, and governs the metabolism and digestion. People with a predominance of Pitta tend to have energy, ambition and drive. For pitta is hot, who suffer less cold, but otherwise tend to overheat during the summer, and can suffer from skin disorders.
Kapha has the qualities of heavy, cold, oil and stable. Kapha people tend to have large framed bodies, and may gain weight more easily. The hair is thick, shiny, and often physically attractive. They often result in feelings of stability, peace and joy. However, when out of balance, kapha leads to a lack of flexibility, inertia and lack of enthusiasm.
A qualified Ayurvedic physician will be able to determine the relative balance of vata, pitta and kapha to a high degree of accuracy through the use of pulse diagnosis.
However, the simple description above should be able to help you recognize quickly that essential oils can be indicated.
For someone with a vata imbalance, we offer comfort, ease and comfort, which reduces agitation and excessive mental activity. Therefore, the search is because the oils are warming, sweet, soft stabilization. Try sweet orange, ylang ylang, vetiver, basil, jasmine, ginger, frankincense, patchouli.
For pitta type, which searches for oil cooling. So think in terms of the oils of peppermint, lavender, true rose, sandalwood, chamomile and German.
Remember kapha is heavy and oily, so you should look for essential oils that are light and cut through that quality. Think in terms of the grants (pine, fir, spruce), Black pepper, tea tree, rosemary and lemon verbenone.
Needless to say that the areas of both Ayurveda and essential oils are immensely detailed and well could have a lifetime of study. However, the principles are simple and have a common value. And best of all, it is easy to apply.

What is the best quality/heaviest weighted vest I can get for around 200 plus or minus a little?
I dont want to waste my money on something cheap. So what are some good brands for 200 bucks or so? Heavier the better Id like around 100lbs but i know that would probably past my range
Im not too young Im 23 but I Want it for squats and holding horse stance So I wont be like going crazy just something that can be adjusted and I wont max out on too fast
If you're doing low-impact things like squats and horse stance, then a heavy weight vest of up to 100lbs should be OK. I wouldn't suggest you do any running in it though.
As a fellow martial artist, who's done a lot of training with weight vests, I'd say that functional strength is much more important than holding deep horse with +100lbs. You have to be able to translate that additional strength into movement and technique, and to do that you need to train with lighter weights over a wider variety of drills, but I digress here. Unfortunately most of the cheaper weight vests on the market are exactly that - cheap. They wear out quick and you can't wash them so when the vest starts getting a bit stinky after heavy use you're a bit stuck.
The best all-round weight vest I've found is the XVest. You can vary the weight on it as much as you like from nothing up to 84lbs (which I think is more than enough, unless you're Fedor, in which case you can use whatever you like). It comes in at about $310.99 but it'll take a lot of punishment and it's washable.
